By the time African Grey babies are two weeks old they will weigh between 60 and 70 grams. They're fed pretty much on demand but normally around five times a day.
The baby African Greys are kept at a constant high temperature and at this young age remain in a brooder when not being fed.
They're eyes are not yet open but already the African Grey babies respond to human contact and have learnt to associate us with food and care.
A feed specially formulated for baby African Grey's is fed warm from a spoon bent to simulate a beak.
The chicks will be fed this formula until food is introduced at around 10 weeks during the weaning process.
Great care is taken to ensure that everything the baby African Grey's come into contact with has been sterilised.

They have now fully opened their eyes which are completely black in colour. The iris will not turn yellow until around 3 years of age.
By now they are completely used to human contact and this is around the time we let our children handle the African Grey babies. This is great for getting them used to a family environment.
While the baby African Greys remain in the brooder for the majority of the time the temperature has been dropped substantially to little more than room temperature.
We've attached the rings to the legs of the baby parrots to identify them.
